SECOND ANNUAL ANGEL HEART
GALA, February 4th, 2006
Hundreds turned out as the N.I.C.E. Heart Charities hosted its Second
Annual Angel Heart Gala at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
Founded by Dr. Ariel Soffer, N.I.C.E. Heart Charities is dedicated
to taking action when a cardiac related medical need is identified.
Our mission is to help reduce the possible devastating effects or
death from sudden cardiac arrest and our immediate goal is to purchase
50 Automatic External Defibrillators to be donated to locations
where they will benefit children and adults in the community and
beyond. What better way to raise awareness and the much-needed funds
than to throw a huge bash?
The phenomenal evening, a “Night of Celebrity Comedy
Entertainment” featured the legendary comedian David
Brenner who kept everyone in stitches. But that was not all…the
energy in the room hit high impact as the live auction boasted exquisite
jewelry, magnificent art and the piece de resistance– three
adorable puppies donated by Jenney-Lyn’s Puppies. Hands were
flying as the audience oohed and aahed at the quick bidding action
WPLG Channel 10’s anchor Kristi Krueger served as emcee and
introduced Dr. Soffer who delivered a heartfelt speech which informed
guests that the organization would also be donating a portion of
their proceeds to the Joe DiMaggio Children Foundation’s Cardiac
Care Unit.
